Why Being in a State of Commitment is More Valuable than Making Commitments!

I love accountability. In fact, I am in an accountability coaching program myself! We meet every week and review commitments we made the prior week, set commitments for the following week, and get feedback on it all from a coach and peers of the group.

It’s freaking great and because of it, I get a ton of shit done.

BUT, making commitments and being in a state of commitment is different. And if you truly want to be in the body you want, you don’t just need to make commitments, you need to be in a state of commitment.

Most of my clients are great at making commitments, but very few are truly committed.

Here’s how I know:

They miss commitments and they have tons of reasons why they couldn’t do the work. Some valid, most not so much.

But here’s what they don’t have:

Insight. Or an action plan for what they will do differently.

When you are in a state of commitment, you make the commitment - even if it looks a tiny bit different than planned.

You commit to figuring it out.

Here’s what you don’t do:

Quit.

Life often doesn’t go as planned. But if you throw in the towel every time things get hard, you will NEVER get there! It takes FAR LONGER to start and quit and start and quit than it does to take imperfect action, consistently.

So if you are still on your weight loss journey and it’s feeling like you’ll never get there, I urge you to be in the state of commitment. Because when you are, you don’t quit. You figure out solutions. And workarounds. And you show up week after week. And you do what you say you’re gonna do.

The big results you want? They happen in the decisions you make every day!

And if you want help creating those big results in your body and body confidence, set up a free call.
