Are these the desserts you are looking for?!

On Sunday night I made a peach crisp. Ice cream and whipped cream optional.

On Monday afternoon I stopped by a bakery I’ve been wanting to try and grabbed a peanut butter cookie, a mini-cupcake (funfetti style!) and a blueberry muffin to split with Matt.

On Tuesday I had a glass of wine after dinner, enjoying the fantastic summer weather we are having here in Ohio.

And as I sit here on Wednesday morning, I worry about what my clients would think if they *really knew* how I ate. And sometimes I judge myself for how I eat! LOL!

Then I realize, that is part of the problem! Nobody wants to be real. Social media coaches/influencers either want people to believe they never eat junk food or that they maintain that fitspo physique by donuts and pancakes.

The truth is far less exciting….and a helluva lot more do-able than you think!

The truth is I eat a lot of plant food...probably 4-5 servings of fruits and veggies a day. But, I also eat dessert every day. I have found a balance of where my body feels and performs how I want AND I actually enjoy how I eat.

Gone are the days where I had to *earn* dessert. Or feeling like “I’ve been good”, so I can totally eat that entire 3-scoop banana split. By myself. After already eating a full dinner.

Getting to and maintaining (the most important part) a healthy, normal weight is about liking how you eat. And eating in a way that supports how you want to live.

If you want to live a life with no carbs, by all means, do a no/low carb diet. But if you don’t plan on doing that forever, why would you waste your time and torture yourself with that now?!

Personally, I plan on eating carbs - especially in the form of baked goods - for the rest of my life!

And if you’d like to eat dessert and still feel energetic and healthy, reach out to me. I can help!
